Metz Ridgerunners |
Founded in the fall of 1972 by Wm. (Toad) Kempf, David Winter, and Sandy Gurgel with the cooperation of Tapp's Tap, Metz, WI (Joe & Doris Tapp, proprietors), the club was named after the town of Metz and bar owner Joe Tapp's nickname of Ridgerunner. |
In 1973 the club was incorporated and shortly thereafter joined the AWSC with 100% membership. In 1975 the club started working with county agencies to develop some of the most scenic, enjoyable, groomed trails connecting Waushara, Winnebago, and Waupaca counties. |
